Throughout the program, you will learn to:

• Provide chairside support to the dentist and assist in dental procedures as needed.
• Sterilize and prepare dental equipment and materials.
• Take and develop x-rays.
• Educate patients on dental health.
• Make dental impressions of patients’ teeth for study casts.
• Polish crowns and perform fluoride treatments.
• Apply dental dams, pit and fissure sealants, desensitizing agents and topical anesthetics.
• Educate patients on proper oral care following procedures or surgery.
• Assist with such office and administrative tasks as scheduling appointments, greeting clients, answering phones, monitoring inventory and managing billing and payment.
